You will be mine (n.009-ARTF.) (n.490) The measures are: 75.00 cm x 55.00 cm x 1.00 cm Ink on a wooden board Not framed; ready to be hung It is a painting that draws inspiration by exploring the female universe. Each piece is securely packaged, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrive in a completely safe package. I use DHL/UPS courier: shipping in Europe arrives in 24/48 hours; international shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. Some delays may be caused by customs clearance at borders. Shipping takes about 7 days; about 10 days for non-EU countries. A tracking number is provided for the shipment. Different light sources can affect the colors in the photos. The dimensions may vary slightly as I personally prepare the wooden frame, stretch the canvas and mount it on the frame. For more photos and information, contact me! Thank you. Important notice for international buyers (non-EU): Customs duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping costs. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. The amount should be between 10% and 20% of the artwork’s value. After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a long rest that lasted some time. Since December 2014 I have resumed with the "two dimensions", leaving sculpture aside and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings. I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been venturing into painting faces of people, both imaginary and real. For me, painting is about "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and fungi that - over time - grow on the surface. The inexorable passage of time is the main theme of my works. Having had a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs that are clearly perceptible to the touch as well as to the naked eye. In this recent period, after several years during which my works were made from bits of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids repeated with mathematical rigor that viewed up close seem to form a colorful abstract painting, but the farther you go, the more a portrait emerges from the many painted wooden discs. Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not their partner’s dolls and cannot be mistreated or, worse, victims of violence.
