Alessi - William Alsop & Federico Grazzini - Salt and...

Add a stylish and functional duo to your table with this set of two "Grind" salt and pepper mills by Alessi: a silver mill for salt and a black mill for pepper, designed by William Alsop and Federico Grazzini in 2017. A celebration of the dining table and all the tools that enhance the pleasure of sharing and enjoying good food: this was the design concept behind the "Grind" salt, pepper, and spice mill. Not just a gadget for the table where meals are eaten, but an object that is part of an essential experience. The expressive design transforms an everyday object into a stylish and essential accessory that can be proudly displayed on the dining table, adding a touch of refinement to any setting. The designers also introduced a small variation to the usual structure of this tool: when not in use, the mill stands with its grinding mechanism facing upward. The mill is thus clearly visible, elegantly framed by the distinctive design of its housing. This is a functionally important detail, as it allows "Grind" to be placed on the table after use without scattering ground spice residue. The housing of both mills is made of cast aluminum with a food-safe nylon interior, making them suitable for contact with food. Each mill features a ceramic grinding wheel, making it an excellent choice for effortlessly grinding salt, pepper, and other dry herbs and spices. This ceramic wheel is known for its exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear, ensuring long-lasting performance. Operating the "Grind" mills is simple: turning the part containing the grinding wheel clockwise achieves a finer grind, while turning it counterclockwise produces a coarser grind. Refilling is also easy: turn the mill upside down, remove the rotor, and refill the container with ease. This set of 2 mills is in brand-new, unused condition and comes complete with its original Alessi packaging.
