The entire necklace has been hand-knotted between each bead; the clasp is 925 silver with gold plating. This exclusive necklace, being very long, can be worn in many different ways, all very flattering depending on the occasion. The relationship between agate and Christianity is twofold: on one hand, it is mentioned as a precious stone in the Bible, and on the other hand, it is associated with the figure of Saint Agatha (Symbol of Fortitude). Symbolism of Fortitude: Her story is an example of unwavering faith and composure in the face of torture. She is the patron saint of Catania, and her intercession is invoked against volcanic eruptions (such as Mount Etna). She is also the patroness of nurses and people suffering from breast cancer, due to the tortures she endured.
