After Clodion (French 1738-1814) Pair of Bronze Putti, Signed

After Clodion (French 1738-1814) Pair of Bronze Putti, Signed

Charming pair of 19th century patinated bronze putti figures, after Clodion's celebrated 18th-century models. One cherub is depicted holding a mirror, while the other plays a tambourine, both rendered with expressive features and lively movement. The figures display the playful Rococo spirit associated with Clodion's work, with finely modeled curly hair, animated drapery, and naturalistic tree-stump supports. Rich, dark brown patination enhances the sculptural quality and detail. A decorative and evocative pair inspired by the celebrated French master's oeuvre. Carved Clodion on each base. Artist: After Clodion (French 1738-1814) Dimensions: 4"L x 5"W x 8"H Date or Era: 19th century Country of Origin: France Weight: 8.8 lbs. Condition Request Condition Report Good
