Adix 1904 Mechanical Calculator

Early Adix mechanical calculator, patented in Germany in 1904 by Josef Pallweber and manufactured by the Adix Company of Mannheim, Germany. Compact adding machine with an unusual open skeleton mechanism, nine numbered operating levers, exposed gears and three-digit register. Serial numbered 71427. Calculator is in working condition and comes in what appears to be its original fitted, fabric-lined case. Calculator approx. 5.5" x 3.25"; case approx. 6.25" x 3.75". General age-related surface wear and oxidation to the metal components. Case exhibits wear, losses to the exterior covering, and staining and deterioration to the interior fabric.
