A VERY UNSUAL AND RARE GLASS IN METAL BUTTON

1 Large high domed 19th century reverse intaglio CAT example. Here is another button I have never seen before. The cat head is carved intaglio on the back of the very high domed glass and then painted with silver to highlight the design of the Cat head. The glass was then mounted in a brass and black lacquered tin back typical to the late 1900's. This is not one that you cat lovers should pass by. Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4".
