A LARGE PAIR OF RED SANDSTONE COLUMNS NORTHERN INDIA, 18TH CENTURY Raised on square bases, the fluted shafts bordered by bands of lotus and acanthus leaves 168cm high PROVENANCE: From the Collection of the Late Anthony John Lippitt (1928-2019), Deputy Secretary Department of Industry, Group Export Director GEC, Chairman and Managing Director MSTC and latterly Chairman of Aurelian Gas and Oil, acquired from Gordon Reece gallery, London, sold together with a copy of the original invoice.
