the central rectangular mirror plate bordered by bevelled margin plates, enclosed within a heavily carved gilded frame decorated with scrolling foliate, acanthus and rocaille detail, the pediment centred by a maiden's head crest, 127cm wide, 14cm deep, 252cm high, Condition Report, Condition Report, Mirror plate and frame in fair to good order. Plate with speckling, foxing and degradation to varying degrees. Frame with various small cracks - restored and unrestored. Pediment with notable areas of restoration/gluing. Frame also with general wear to include fading to gilt and abrasions, etc. Reddish colour to frame in different places. Glass is securely framed. Backboard is slightly loose but secure nonetheless. Two wooden brackets affixed to backside, presumably to ensure the mirror can be hung horizontally. Structurally stable and secure. Request A Condition Report, Request A Condition Report
