6 Early XXth Century damask linen napkins with M.C.initials

Set of Six Damask Linen Napkins with Embroidered "M.C." Monogram A distinguished set of six fine damask linen napkins, each beautifully adorned with the initials M.C. The monogram is meticulously embroidered in high relief, with delicate intervening embroidery that enhance the depth and definition of the initials, bringing them to their fullest beauty. Each napkin is further embellished with a charming floral and foliate motif, adding refinement and grace to the design. The true elegance of these napkins lies in their magnificent woven damask border. An elaborate frame of flowing ribbons and bows intertwines with luxuriant floral decoration. The ribbons are intentionally elongated, weaving through the foliage and creating a striking decorative statement that lends movement and sophistication to the pattern. At the center of both the upper and lower borders, two birds are depicted resting in a nest, providing a delightful focal point and a touch of natural charm. Rich in detail and craftsmanship, these are truly magnificent napkins, combining exceptional embroidery with an exquisitely designed damask pattern of remarkable elegance.
