4pc Wedgwood Colonial and Outlines of Grandeur Saucers

This lot consists of four ceramic saucers manufactured by Wedgwood, featuring two distinct patterns. Included are three saucers in the Hereford pattern from the Wedgwood Colonial line. These pieces are made of cream-colored earthenware and decorated with a transfer-printed green and black foliate wreath border surrounding a central fruit basket motif. The underside of each Hereford saucer bears the pattern name, Wedgwood Colonial markings, and U.S. design patent numbers 96.180 and D 93218. The fourth item is a bone china saucer from the Outlines of Grandeur series, designed by Laurence Whistler. This saucer features a black transfer-printed depiction of Holyroodhouse in a snowy landscape and is finished with a gilded rim. The reverse is marked with an elaborate cartouche identifying the series and designer, and it carries a provenance sticker for the Rubin Collection. Dimensions: 0.75"H x 5.75" dia.
