2pc Volkstedt and Scheibe Alsbach Kister Germany Porcelain Figurines

Two German polychrome glazed porcelain figural groups depicting 18th-century courtly scenes. The Volkstedt figurine features a standing gallant courting couple in Rococo-style dress. The lady wears a yellow bodice and a floral-patterned skirt embellished with applied porcelain lace detailing at the hem, collar, and sleeves. The gentleman is dressed in a green coat, floral vest, and purple breeches. The base is marked with a blue underglaze stamp and an impressed mark reading V20253. The Scheibe Alsbach Kister figurine depicts a seated couple playing chess at a pedestal table. The lady wears a green and black floral gown, while the gentleman, in a maroon coat, leans forward to kiss her hand. The base features an underglaze blue mark consisting of two crossed lines with a small loop at one end. The underside is further marked with an impressed number 11547.
