2023 Robert-Denogent "Les Reisses" - Pouilly Fuissé 1er Cru - 3 Bottles (0.75L)

Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru Les Reisses 2023 – Domaine Robert-Denogent precisely expresses the character of the great whites from the Mâconnais. This confidential cuvée comes from the Les Reisses climat, located in the Fuissé area, and ranks among the most sought-after references of the Robert-Denogent family estate, renowned for its terroir wines that are simply honest, deep, and gastronomic. Made from Chardonnay, this Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru reveals a full-bodied and assertive style, carried by a wonderful aromatic intensity. The 2023 vintage offers a generous and bright profile, with notes of yellow-flesh fruit, citrus, flowers, dried herbs, and subtle wooden nuances. The palate enchants with its material, its freshness, and its mineral tension, finishing long and elegant. The lieu-dit Les Reisses is notably associated with old vines and clay soils, elements that contribute to the wine’s concentration, enveloping texture, and depth of this cuvée. Domaine Robert-Denogent cultivates its plots with a living-friendly approach, prioritizing the natural expression of the Mâconnais terroirs. At table, this Burgundy white wine will ideally accompany a roasted lobster, scallops, a fish in sauce, a Bresse chicken in cream, a cep risotto, or characterful cheeses such as aged Comté. Already appealing in its youth after a light aeration, it can also mature harmoniously in the cellar for several years, gaining in complexity and nuance.
