Sourced from a small plot of 0.5 hectare located in the lieu-dit Les Eguets, in Chavanay, this cuvée expresses all the precision of Viognier on a granitic hillside terroir, typical of the Condrieu appellation. This dry white wine is composed exclusively of Viognier, the emblematic grape of Condrieu. The 2023 vintage offers a profile that is both generous and taut: aromas of white peach, apricot, yellow apple and passion fruit, complemented by delicate floral notes and a subtle touch of cedar. On the palate, the texture is savory and elegant, with a strong aromatic breadth, a full mouthfeel and a persistent, fresh and complex finish. Aging of 12 months in demi-muids, with some in new oak, adds volume and finesse without masking the fruit or the Viognier’s natural tension. The result is a refined, aromatic and balanced Condrieu, faithful to the domaine’s style: intense, precise and elegant whites. Food pairings: this Condrieu will pair perfectly with refined shellfish such as lobster or langoustines, a delicate white fish in a creamy sauce, poultry in cream, or a dish with softly spicy flavors. Fresh goat cheese or cuisine featuring morels will also make for beautiful matches. Serve at 10–12 °C, it will captivate today with its éclatant fruit, while also able to evolve favorably for 3–5 years in the cellar.
