Côte-Rôtie ‘Les 3 Brunes 2023 Appellation: Côte-Rôtie Colour: red Grape variety: (+ or -) 94% Syrah and (+ or -) 6% Viognier Soil: Micaschists. The vines are grown on steep, south-facing slopes (lieu-dit Fourvier) and east and south-east facing hilltops (lieux-dits Le Plomb and L'Arselie). Vinification / Maturing / Blending: Harvested in 50 kg crates, the different parcels are vinified and matured separately to reflect the specific characteristics of each terroir. Aged in demi-muids for 18 to 20 months, then blended en masse one month before bottling by gravity without filtration. Tasting notes: dark ruby colour. Complex aromatic palette combining red and black fruit aromas (raspberry, blackcurrant, etc.) with floral hints (violet in particular), evolving to spicy notes. Gastronomic accompaniments: beef carpaccio, home-made steack tartare, leg or shoulder of lamb 7 hours old...
