Format: 750 ml (75 cl - e) Allergen information: Contains sulphites Organoleptic sheet Red wine, still Grape variety: 100% Visual examination: Deep ruby red, bright and profound with intense bluish reflections in the early years of life. Olfactory examination: On the nose it offers a winey and fragrant bouquet, characterized by pronounced notes of ripe plum, cherry, blackberry and subtle floral hints of violet, accompanied by a light spicy note. Gustatory examination: In the mouth it is fresh, full and enveloping. The typical acidity of Barbera provides great drinkability and momentum, well balanced by a soft structure and a pleasant fruity persistence. Glassware recommended and serving: Red wine glass with medium to wide opening (Ballon type or Barbera/Chianti glass) to allow proper diffusion of the fruity aromas and aeration. Serving temperature: 16 - 18 °C. Food pairings- first courses: Pasta with meat ragù, Piedmontese agnolotti, lasagna and risottos with sausage. Meats: Roasted pork, grilled red meats, mixed boiled meats Piedmontese style and baked poultry. Cheeses and cold cuts: Platters of typical cured meats (cooked salami, raw salami) and mid-aged cheeses (Toma Piemontese, Raschera). Curiosity: The lion with the door knocker: The distinctive logo depicts a lion’s head with a door knocker in its mouth, a perfect visual reference to the Piedmontese saying printed at the center of the label. "Ogni uss a l'ha so tanbuss". Bond with Canale and Roero: The Monchiero Carbone winery is based in Canale, in the heart of Roero, an area traditionally known for great wines both whites (Arneis) and reds (Barbera and Nebbiolo).
