The 2020 Barolos from Giovanni Rosso underwent approximately 25 days of skin contact, followed by natural settling and ageing for around three years in large French oak casks. Classic Nebbiolo character, combining red cherry, dried flowers, liquorice and aromatic herbs with firm but refined tannins, fresh acidity and excellent ageing potential. Quantity: 2 bottles An unusual and interesting Piedmont white made from Timorasso, the indigenous variety of the Colli Tortonesi hills that has become increasingly appreciated for its structure, mineral character and ability to develop complexity with bottle age. The wine offers the distinctive combination of ripe citrus and orchard fruit, floral nuances, herbs and mineral notes, with good texture, freshness and a persistent finish. The bottles feature the distinctive Recchione artwork and are from lot L24/24, as visible on the original back labels. I have not found sufficiently reliable professional critic scores for this exact 2023 Julie & Jérémy Recchione Timorasso, so I would not add an unverified rating to the Catawiki listing.
