Richebourg is one of the legendary Grand Crus of the Côte de Nuits, celebrated for combining extraordinary depth and power with the refined elegance and silky texture for which Vosne-Romanée is famous. Domaine Anne Gros is particularly renowned for its interpretation of this exceptional terroir. Domaine Anne Gros is based in the heart of Vosne-Romanée and has become one of Burgundy's most respected domaines. Anne Gros took over the family domaine in 1988 and subsequently built an international reputation for wines characterised by precision, finesse and an exceptional sense of terroir. The domaine owns a highly prized 0.60-hectare parcel of Richebourg in the lieu-dit "Les Verroilles", including vines of approximately 50 and 75 years of age. Richebourg is one of the great Grand Crus of Burgundy and sits immediately above the famous Romanée-Conti vineyard in Vosne-Romanée. Domaine Anne Gros describes its Richebourg as a wine capable of combining power with supreme elegance, with a characteristic silky and velvety texture supported by an underlying mineral freshness. The 2017 vintage is an especially attractive expression of this terroir. The wine shows an impressive combination of richness and concentration with dark red and black fruits, rose, liquorice, oriental spices and earthy nuances. On the palate, the wine is generous and beautifully textured, with soft, polished tannins, sensual minerality and a long, refined finish. Contemporary reviews highlighted the wine's elegance, harmony, freshness and considerable depth. The 2017 Richebourg was produced in limited quantities from the domaine's small parcel, making bottles particularly desirable for collectors of great Burgundy. It is a wine with the structure and pedigree to develop beautifully over many years while already displaying the complexity and finesse expected from a great Richebourg. The bottle has been carefully stored under professional cellar conditions to preserve its quality and provenance. Label, capsule, and fill level are in excellent condition, as shown in the photographs. Collector's Note: Richebourg is one of the most prestigious Grand Crus in Burgundy, and Domaine Anne Gros represents one of the most sought-after addresses in Vosne-Romanée. The combination of the domaine's tiny holding, mature vines and the refined character of the 2017 vintage makes this a highly collectible bottle. A superb addition to a serious Burgundy collection and a wonderful opportunity to experience one of the Côte de Nuits' legendary Grand Crus.
