As a renowned Burgundy winery, Louis Latour has been actively committed to environmentally friendly viticulture since 1996. The vineyard This Grand Cru is a Corton wine, produced from grapes from several parcels facing southeast and cultivated on marly calcareous soils. The vintage The 2023 vintage in Burgundy is characterized by a bountiful harvest and optimal ripening of the grapes, despite an occasionally unstable climate. After a spring marked by several frosts, the hot and dry summer was tempered by timely rains, which created ideal conditions for uniform grape ripening. The result is an exceptional vintage, marked by a notable harmony between fruit, freshness and structure. A promising balance that hints at great aging potential. Vinification and aging The grapes are hand-picked and fermented in open-top vessels. 100% malolactic fermentation. The aging lasts 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels sourced from the winery's coopers’ shop. Assembleage Pinot Noir (100%)
