Crafted over nearly twelve years of slow, controlled transformation in the cellars, Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage is intense yet spontaneous, a study in light and dark—and utterly magnetic. The 2009 Vintage: After a harsh winter, spring was mild but wet, hindering the flowering process. Despite a few thunderstorms, the summer was defined primarily by heat and drought, accompanied by long, sunny days. A brief hailstorm on September 4th gave way to summer-like weather, allowing the grapes to ripen further. The harvest, which began on September 12th, yielded grapes of unparalleled quality. Characteristics and tasting notes: The nose reveals a range of fruity aromas, such as blackcurrant, raspberry, cherry, and fig. Notes of liquorice and gingerbread emerge delicately, accompanied by hints of rose, saffron, and orange. The pallet is round and unctuous, it stands out for its marked generosity and refined bubbles.
