An antique 19th C. Shaker ash wood six-drawer workbench, with documented provenance from the Harvard Shaker Village, Harvard, MA. A heavily planked work surface over six drawers arranged in two columns of three, each fitted with original turned wood knob pulls, resting on a plain plinth base. Provenance: Alexander G MacLennan Jr., whose grandfather Alexander D. MacLennan oversaw the Warren Farms and Single Tax Enclaves at Harvard Shaker Village following Fisk Warren's purchase of the community in 1918; the piece was retained by the MacLennan family and used as a workbench for three generations.29”H x 75”L x 32.5”D.
