- Viña Albina 1978 Gran Reserva: wine never placed on the market. Aged for 12 years in cask. A very rare limited-edition vinified for the Centenary of the winery in 1990. Bottles were only given to loyal customers and company commitments. Aged in cask from 1978 and hand-bottled in 1990. Then, it was stored in the old racks of Bodegas Riojanas. Initially, it was planned to be bottled as the regular Reserva in 1983. The finest casks were chosen by tasting in the first years and reserved separately from the rest. These barrels were aged for a longer period and finally bottled in 1990 to commemorate the First Centenary of Bodegas Riojanas (1890-1990). Vinified and matured in a wooden vat for 12 to 18 months, as the wines of the 19th century, and then poured to cask. Racked once every 6 months, in the first 6 years, using the traditional Riojan cask-to-cask method. Hand bottling directly from the barrel. Not filtered. *** All international parcels are shipped to the highest professional standards via premium UPS International Express, the courier’s fastest signature-required service. Each shipment is prepared in a specialist wine box officially certified by UPS / DHL, with every bottle packed individually and protected in three layers of bubble wrap. Given the nature of fine wine and the value of the consignments, all lots are shipped with full insurance coverage. ***
