No registration certificate; no roadworthiness test Featured in the Montesa catalogue from 1967 to 1983, the Cappra model is a must-have for fans of the Catalan brand. In the American off-road market, Bultaco was then ahead of Montesa. That is why, in 1968, the Barcelona-based firm responded by introducing the Cappra GP for motocross and the Cota 247 for trial riding. An immediate commercial success, the Cappra was launched with a single engine option: a 250 cc, 30-horsepower unit derived from the Impala’s, which offered better torque at low revs. Its orange livery and integrated fuel tank, positioned lower within the frame, made a lasting impression and ensured greater stability.
