1856-1883 Classic Period 1856, ½r. black on greyish blue paper, proofs in a strip of five surrounded by enormous margins, strong impression of the design. Some minor and faint tone spots and a vertical crease confined to the right margin, of no significance for this extremely rare exhibition item, of which only three are recorded. One of the most desirable examples of proofs in the whole classic period of Mexico. Cert. MEPSI (2026), Signed Aguirre.
