1839 Liberty Seated Quarter. No Drapery. Briggs 2-B. AU-50 (ANACS). OH.

1839 Liberty Seated Quarter. No Drapery. Briggs 2-B. AU-50 (ANACS). OH. This handsome piece exhibits cobalt blue and champagne-pink undertones to dominant toning in blended pewter and olive-gray. Detail is generally bold in the presence of overall light wear, and the in-hand appearance is pleasingly smooth in the absence of sizeable marks. The 1839 is the second of only three No Drapery issues from the opening of the Liberty Seated quarter series, and this desirable AU survivor would do nicely in many type or date sets. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 5392. NGC ID: 23SF.
