o reserve price Magnificent ruby pearl bracelet combined with small 18-karat yellow gold spheres (same material as its clasp, in the shape of a smooth ball). The size of the beads makes it an ideal everyday accessory, both worn on its own or paired with other pieces. Ruby is not only a precious stone; it is a symbol of eternity that has fascinated humanity for millennia: In ancient Sanskrit, ruby was called "Ratnaraj" which means "the king of precious stones." It was the gem most valued by the ancient kings of India. The warriors of ancient Burma believed so much in the ruby's power that they embedded them under their skin to become invincible in battle. From ancient China to the courts of medieval European nobility, the ruby has been the favored amulet to attract fortune, health, and wisdom.
