1787 Nova Eborac Copper. W-5760. Rarity-3. Medium Bust, Seated Figure

1787 Nova Eborac Copper. W-5760. Rarity-3. Medium Bust, Seated Figure Right. AU-55 (PCGS). CAC. Glossy and highly attractive chestnut-brown surfaces showcase this popular design type attributed to the private New York operation of Bailey and Brasher. The obverse is aligned to 3 o'clock, border into the tops of the letters EBOR along the right border, reverse better centered, both sides with bold to sharp detail to most design elements. Some softness to the seated figure at central reverse is typical of the type and in no way detracting here. Frosty, smooth and glossy, this is a problem-free and thoroughly PQ example that will delight discerning type collectors of early American coppers. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 475. NGC ID: 2B49. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
