Sobre el objeto

T-69. Confederate Currency. 1864 $5. PCGS Currency Gem New 66 PPQ.No. 90541. Plate D. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball, Columbia, SC. Healthy red underprint. Bold signatures and bright paper surfaces. Any T-69 note that is fully framed, such as this one, is quite a feat. An overwhelming majority of this type have at least one tight or trimmed margin. A year ago, in our ANA sale, we saw some stratospheric results from common notes in high grade. We had a T-68 note in PCGS 67PPQ grade that topped the $7,000 figure. In our Baltimore sale this year, we had a T-68 in PMG Gem CU 66 EPQ sell for over $1,000. High-grade T-69 notes are much scarcer at the most pristine states of preservation.Estimate: $700 - $900.
