Sobre el objeto

Ultra-rare commemorative was purchased by a southern Florida pawn shop from an individual whose father worked for Don King, the legendary/controversial titan of boxing promotion. While the three-time Champion rings surface with some degree of regularity, this earlier model was issued not long after Ali's most celebrated victory, over George Foreman in the fabled "Rumble in the Jungle."A large, genuine diamond is set into a blood-red stone on the ring face beneath the star and crescent of the Islamic faith, with raised text at the perimeter reporting, "World Champion." Left shank is topped by King's engraved name, above a figural boxing glove and text recounting Ali's victory over Sonny Liston to earn his first title. Right shank finds "Muhammad Ali" engraved above a similar display regarding his glorious return to the throne in Zaire.Interior band is stamped, "Jostens 14K" and measures to a size twelve (12). Total weight is twenty-seven grams (27 g.). Fine condition.HID07601242017
